NHL playoff bets: Four props for 2-game slate on 4/26

We nailed all three picks last night, and now it's about carrying that momentum into a new day. Wednesday's NHL schedule brings forth just two games, but there are some intriguing prop betting angles worth diving into.

Brad Marchand over 2.5 SOG & Nathan MacKinnon over 4.5 SOG (+161 DK)

Simplicity never hurt, and this one is as straightforward as they come. I expect both home teams to find some offense tonight, so opting to back two of the steadiest SOG producers on their respective teams.

Brad Marchand has covered this 2.5-shot line in all four games so far against Florida, finishing with four in both games in Boston. Marchand has now gone over his shot line in five straight against Florida and seven of his last eight meetings. He's also now hit in eight straight postseason games.

I'll be pairing him with Nathan MacKinnon, a logical choice to continue his volume in a huge game for Colorado. MacKinnon piled up SOG totals of seven and eight in the two home games to begin this series, and has gone over 4.5 shots in nine of his last 12 playoff home games. There's no reason to expect his volume to dwindle now, especially with Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin out.

.5u: Brad Marchand goal (+190 DK)

Marchand has been on a tear this series, and at this price to score I'm willing to jump into the ring with the guy.

He has a goal in three of four games this series and has been a force on home ice in the playoffs. Marchand has scored in seven straight home playoff games and 11 of the past 14. That's a hit-rate I'm happy to follow.

Marchand should be the one set to make offense happen on Boston's projected second line of Marchand-Charlie Coyle-Nick Foligno.

Bowen Byram over 2.5 SOG (+130 DK) & Bowen Byram point (-116 CZR)

Cale Makar is out tonight due to suspension, which will mean Bowen Byram and Devon Toews need to step up.

I like Byram at these prices, and I know he burned us in Game 4, but postseason is all about trusting the bounce-back, so here I am heeding my own advice.

Byram has had success in Colorado this series. Game 1 saw Byram finish with five shots and an assist, and he followed that up with another assist in Game 2 to accompany eight SOG.

Colorado is quite shorthanded at this point and in serious jeopardy of falling to Seattle this series. It's all hands on deck, and I like the young defensemen to answer the call in a pivotal Game 5 at home.
