The Penn State football team has been working to build up the wide receiver room. This offseason, the Nittany Lions got a commitment from former Ohio State WR Julian Fleming to boost the room in 2024. But WR coach Marques Hagans is looking to stack talent on the recruiting trail beyond this upcoming season. Now, 2025 recruiting class member and top 5 wide receiver Quincy Porter has narrowed his college choices to six schools. He included Penn State in his top choices.
Quincy Porter is a top 50 recruit in the 2025 recruiting class. The Oradell, New Jersey native ranks as the 31st player in the 2025 recruiting class according to On3. The same outlet also lists Porter as the No. 5 wide receiver in the cycle and the No. 1 player in New Jersey.
The four-star recruit is currently trending toward Michigan as the Wolverines have a 29% chance to land the talented pass catcher. He currently has official visits scheduled for Ohio State on June 7th, Michigan on June 14th, and Oklahoma on June 21st. On Monday he announced that he was down to his final six schools. He included Ohio State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Penn State.
Porter has been to Happy Valley twice during his recruitment. He initially visited the Nittany Lions on January 28th, 2024. He recently returned to campus for an unofficial visit on March 29th. If Marques Hagans can get Porter to return for another visit before he makes his final decision, that could seriously persuade his future.

While Marques Hagans continues to look to stack the future recruiting classes. His time to develop the prospects he has recruited will start this summer. In a recent video posted on social media by 2024 Penn State football signee Tyseer Denmark, it appears that the incoming true freshman is ready to make an impact.

Penn State will look to rely on Julian Fleming, Harrison Wallace, Kaden Saunders, Omari Evans, and Liam Clifford this fall. But if Denmark can turn some heads in fall camp, he’s a player that could potentially make an impact in 2024.
